Iconic New Zealand Images adorn these Porcelain Bowls from Jo Luping.

This Jo Luping Design Harakeke Collection is made from white porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside.

Living by the sea has inspired Jo's designs to be based on coastal flora and fauna. 

Harakeke is the symbol of family; outer leaves represent the elders who must protect the inner shoots, children.

These make great gifts for many occasions.

Each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid.

The bowls feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection.

 Jo Luping Design of Aotearoa, started as many small cottage businesses start, in the garage. “I had spent some time after art school travelling through Europe when I came upon Gaudi’s Parc Guell. And so began my obsession with glazes and the rich deep colours that you can achieve from this medium. I returned to New Zealand, opened a studio and began in 1994 to develop my first series of ceramic art tiles. Since then I have grown to work in a wide range of mediums ranging from ceramics, to textiles, to precious metals and now to upcycled plastic and glass waste."
