The Jo Luping Design Kina ceramic series features a textural relief design with a clear glaze inside and outside.

This item beautifully sits alongside the Jo Luping 24cm and 10cm bowls, sold separately for you to mix & match. 

Kina is a sea urchin endemic to New Zealand.

Living by the sea has inspired Jo's designs to be based on coastal flora and fauna. 

Jug holds up to 300ml

Size: 80 x 70mm oval base x 160mm high.

Made from white porcelain.

Food safe, dishwasher & microwave safe.

Each piece comes in a double-walled box with an image of the design on the lid and a story about the meaning of the design on the box bottom – as well as a story card inside about the artist and design.

These pieces may feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection.

 Jo Luping Design of Aotearoa, started as many small cottage businesses start, in the garage. “I had spent some time after art school travelling through Europe when I came upon Gaudi’s Parc Guell. And so began my obsession with glazes and the rich deep colours that you can achieve from this medium. I returned to New Zealand, opened a studio and began in 1994 to develop my first series of ceramic art tiles. Since then I have grown to work in a wide range of mediums ranging from ceramics, to textiles, to precious metals and now to upcycled plastic and glass waste."
