with the Puriri Moth, endemic to the North Island of New Zealand.
It is New Zealands largest moth, with a wingspan of up to 150 mm.
If you research the life cycle and relationship of this moth in relationship to the Puriri tree,
you will learn this iconic moth is associated with a saying regarding "we should not underestimate the impact of small things"
