Tī Kōuka, or cabbage tree, a familiar elegant silhouette to any New Zealander!

Unique to New Zealand, Tī Kōuka is commonly found throughout wetlands, scrubland and along the coast in both the North and South Island.

The leaves had many uses, including being woven in baskets and used medicinally.

This bowl by Jo Luping Design  is made from porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside.

Each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid.
