An iconic New Zealand image, the silver fern symbol comes from the New Zealand fern - Cyathea Dealbata (Ponga is the Maori name).

Its unfurling frond symbolizes strength, growth and new beginnings.

This bowl by Jo Luping Design  is made from porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside.

Each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid.
