The elegant pattern comes from a detail from "Birds of Many Climes" by C.F.A. Voysey (1857-1941), who was one of the most innovative Arts and Crafts movement designers.

An English architect and furniture and textile designer, his work was influential in Europe between 1890 and 1910 and he was a source of Art Nouveau inspiration.
