TakahÄ“ have special cultural, spiritual and traditional significance to Ngāi Tahu, the iwi (Māori tribe) of most of New Zealand’s South Island. Ngāi Tahu value takahÄ“ as a taonga (treasure) and they continue to act as kaitiaki (guardians) of the takahÄ“ by working with DOC to protect this precious species.

Designed in by NZ artist Tanya Wolfkamp, and printed by Live Wires using vegetable based inks on paper produced from certified and audited (WMF) Well Managed Forest plantations.
